I tried installing Vista Ultimate on Sunday, spent several hours arranging my data and making sure I had all the drivers for everything I needed. It installed just fine, everything looked and ran great! Well... that is until I tried to install the supposed "Vista-compatible" driver version for my USB wireless adapter... with my luck, it didn't work at all and it turns out that no such drivers really exist, it was incorrect information about it being vista compatible...

So before I knew it I had to load up Acronis True Image and restore my windows XP Hard Drive image. Worked like a charm, and without me having to set everything up. It was definitely a great investment buying it. There's also a free version for people with Seagate and Maxtor hard drives here: link I wanted the extra functionality so I upgraded from the free version, but either way, it's very useful. It also makes buying Acronis true image cheaper since you can pay 40% less with the upgrade price.

So basically, the moral of the story is that Gigabyte sucks for networking components. On second thought, they suck at everything... I'll have to get a new network setup before I can run vista permanently.

Here's the router I'll probably get if I can: link (Yeah, when it comes to computers, if it has a screen, It's sold!)

often people mix optical with laser, but assuming it is laser, I bet it's scroll wheel doesn't tilt.
Bands: Depends

What do you mean doesn't tilt...
I press once and it responds once.
Not like my brother Samsung mouse really doesn't tilt.
The best record I broke was opening 4 extra tabs in 1 scroll wheel click.
My mouse has no red light.
It is a laser mouse.
No light! And it responds even I lift the mouse a little and move.

By tilt I meant left and right for scrolling horizontally.

Oh.
It tilts.
Responds only once per press.

The software... I abandon it.
It sucks.
You can't set your own shortcut but it only give shortcuts to Microsoft Word and so.

Ah, oh. Well, that's why Logitech is great then, I can completely customize the functions.
Bands: Depends

D:
I try customizing but it annoys me D:
So it is Logitech which is better.
But whatever, I have a mouse and all I do is take advantage of those shortcut buttons.

I support software I use and plan on eventually making money off of especially.

Plus my ISP blocks/shapes torrents, so there are other methods of getting things.
