I know a few people have been asking where I've been, so I just want to update everybody on what's going on with my life right now =P Um, first off, the computer is as bad as ever and it's really so annoying to play maplestory anymore. I know I keep complaining about it, but it's true!  And don't say I should get a new one, cuz I dun got the money for one! I would like to say, however, that I'm sorry to everybody about being so inactive. It should be my responsibility, especially to the guild, to sign on much more often than I have been, and I am so sorry about that BUT as for everything else! Summer... I spent some of my summer in Utah/Montana/Wyoming, and that was really fun. I really love nature and the weather is really so nice out there! For those of you who gave me your cell phone #'s, I sent you a pic message =P. I don't think everybody actually received it though cuz Piggy said she didn't receive it... I was also playing this browser game named Travian since it takes so much less bandwidth than maplestory, and my hunnie can actually play that game on his laptop (he can't play MS at ALL on HIS comp...it's worse than mine, believe it or not!) (To aemergin who likes to peep into my virtual life and might be reading this...hello there  I know, I sound so much less mature on this profil3, eh?) That game is a lot of fun but takes a lot of your time. Way too stressful sometimes, but at least the gold there is much cheaper than buying nx! =P I was leader of an alliance on that game for a while, which is a different experience to be leading a group of people much much older than me, much different than here that's for sure. If anybody ever starts playing that game, feel free to let me know and I can give ya some tips =) I ended up top 50 offense (yar, I'm a meanie!) and top 200 overall. But definitely now that that server is over, I am NOT going back at least not for a LONG LONG time!School... Then school started, and I just started on a second major with Interior Design and Design Management. Meh, more years of school...funn...=P So yah, I'm taking 19 credit hours and working hopefully 28 hours a week. I work with the university in the Office of Annual Giving where I help people get scholarships and whatnot. It's not the BEST job in the world, but it is extremely flexible as far as times go. I chose it because my last class ends at 4:30 and the first shift starts at 5:00, so the timing is perfect! Plus I am helping people, and that's what I love doing! Although it does mean I am at school from 10am to 9pm... Other than that, it feels like my social life has gone down a bit what with everything that's going on. But next year for spring break my friends and I are thinking of taking another trip down to Cali, which should be so much fun! Then I am hoping...REALLY HOPING...I can save up enough money to go to China over the summer to study abroad. Anyone care to join me? And finally, for those who say they never see me online, if I ever do sign on MS, it's at like 3am my time, so if you're usually not online at that time, sorry... So yep, that pretty much sums up my life right now... OH, and this year I am SERIOUSLY thinking of ACTUALLY making a MS costume! *stares at the pile of torn up cloth on the floor from the last few years of attempts at making a mage costume* I am REALLY gonna do it this time! OH, and one last thing...I have given in to all you people...I have finally watched Naruto... *walks away before people realize what I just said* *walks back* Darnit, Thano, you were right. Hinata IS my favorite character...*walks away again innocently* |

Yeah I know..Hinata is cool,my second best after Shikamaru.I know he looks a bit lame at the begging but he's kinda like me..every situation is bothersome for him and is getting bored but he can think hundreds of possible ways to act and has the ability to usually chose the best of them.

Hrm, I've already reformatted my computer, the fact still lies in that MS was already really slow when this computer was brand new, and now it's even worse now that I've been using it for 1 year. It's a pretty good comp too, I got it 2GB RAM and 1.9GHz dual processor, so I don't see what the problem could be...Even tatsuu couldn't help

If it's not my computer, then why does all the other computers using the same network not have the same problem as me? o_O Seriously, I'm not that dumb. I've gone through this exact same conversation with like 100 other people, so seriously guys, just TRUST me and stop naming every single obvious reason that could be causing my problem, because it's starting to be really repetitive! I'm sorry I'm not trying to be rude but it's just I've had the exact same comments for a whole year now and it's really starting to get on my nerves. If you REALLY want to know EVERYTHING that I've tried, then here you go:
1. Bought a brand new wireless router (didn't work) 2. Bought a brand new cable modem (didn't work) 3. Called Cox (said it must be something wrong with my computer because they tested the internet connection and I should be getting a good connection) And don't tell me Cox is crap because it's the best in my part of town. And I have Cox with Speed Boost. 4. Checked fps on MS (Tatsuu taught me this one) Went through all the suggestions Tat told me to do, such as fiddle with NVIDIA, go to power settings, etc. etc. It says that my computer is set on 60 FPS, but avg FPS on MS is still less than 20fps. Plus, it's the graphics that lag, not like a real internet lag where you don't experience a lag but everything around you is frozen. 5. Finally, if it's the internet that lags, then why does Photoshop & Illustrator lag too? And now I have this new problem where my computer randomly deletes programs. I don't think it's a virus cuz I've been virus scanning everything, and a simple reformat will get my programs back, but it's just annoying... >_> 6. I used speakeasy's speed test (as Piggy suggested), and dl speed is 7495kbps, up speed is 1181kbps, so once again, I DON'T think it's my internet! 7. YES, I have Vista x64 bit but many Vista users are doing just fine... When I say my computer has been bad for a year and that's why I haven't been on MS much, then TRUST me that I haven't been sitting on my butt and complaining about this without doing anything! I've spent hours and hours trying to fix my problem and it just hasn't gotten any better! I'm just glad that I can even REMOTELY play on MS, cuz there's NO way I can play on Audition. I DON'T know what's wrong, internet seems fine, the computer's RAM & processor speed seems fast enough, it was this way when I first got my computer brand new so I doubt it's anything due to age or viruses/spyware, and I got my computer brand new directly off hp.com, so I doubt it's like they lied to me about my computer. My boyfriend's friend, who's in the computer profession, took a look at my computer and couldn't figure it out, although he only spent like 10min. I probably should take it down to some place to get it looked at, but I haven't had the time nor the money to, so THERE, my FULL report of everything I've done!

I don't think that maple even runs if you don't do it but I'll just say it in case it does and you haven't done it. Right_click_maplestory.exe->properties->compatibility->then tick "run this program in compatibility mode for :" and choose WindowsXP(service pack2)
p.s. My new laptop is hp too and runs Vista 32bit,well 3GB Ram and 2.4GHG dual processor.So excited I got a new one..so much less lagging yeah, maple dun even run if you don't do that =P

Well, this happened last year when I had to change the compatibility in order for MS to work, so they very well could have fixed that problem by now.
