I have always been wondering why people hate Jews so much. Even in Literature Jews are accused of being greedy (Like Shylock from Shakespeare's the Moor of Venice), immoral, etcetera....
What a load of bullshit. I don't swear very easily (well, not in English), but this is something that angers me so much. How could number 1 hold today's Jews responsible for what some people did back then? And why is he not mad at the people from Italy; back then the Roman Empire? Yes, cause they're Christian now, maybe. I don't know.
I know my story is not very coherent, but these things freak me out so badly that I lose control. Jews have been through enough. Please give them a break. >_> Since I'm agnostic I've been yelled at a lot by very orthodox Christians (but I've been treated like a normal person by even more people, so I'm not intending to riase a finger at Christians in general), having been called immoral, soulless, meaningless, responsible for all the pain and death in this world (one person even told me I killed my dear grandfather) and I was indirectly called "an attentionseeking, not worth the oxigen I breathe, God-forsaken, non existant motherfucker" by someone who got kicked off Basil REALLY quickly by Syko. But that does not piss me half as badly as the anti-semitists.
though I'm agnostic, I do go to church so now and then. That because churches are often warm places where people help each other and such. In those churches people pray for the Jews and actively fight against antisemitism. And that's how it can also be done.
I always get emotionally involved in conflicts about discrimination, whether it's about racism, religism, seksism or homophobism. And I'm glad to say I'm never on the offending side. That cause I find them not just offending, but also offensive.

Pols are constantly ridiculed and bashed on by Jews and are told they are the reason for WWII holocaust. I mean when I hear that I get just as pissed because if anything, Pols helped out the Jews THE MOST during WWII.

I didn't know about lots of Jews accusing people from Poland (assuming you mean that, cause the term "Pols" in unfamiliar to me). It's kinda illogical, really. I read many books about WW2 (most of them written by people who had been in Konzentrationslagers (I prefer using the German term over the English term) and those books DO say people from countries taken by the Nazis did help Jews. Naturally there were the collaborators, but there were helpers as well. In the Netherlands we had the NSB; a (Dutch!) organisation that betrayed Jews; why aren't they pointing accusing fingers at the Netherlands in that case. The country was smaller than Poland; we did have a good resistance movement, but overall it was able to help less Jews than the Polish resistance, of course.
Yad Vashems are doled out here like.... uh.... Orange Knight Ribbons. My own grandmother got one.
Meh, it's confusing. Maybe there's something behind it.
I just wonder why Jews were accused of for example poverty and pestilence in the past. When pestilence broke out in Amsterdam in.... the 17th century, if I'm not mistaken, many Jews were drowned or burned on the stake. They were blamed for it, but I don't know why. Maybe because a lot of them were immigrants. :S

I think that people need to think things out more before they say something and use common sense.
It also could be human nature. Most of us have a feeling of being competitive, big or small. I guess some people feel better when there is something or someone that they can rank down in a lower level, so they can feel more superior when they are not. The media also has a part of this. They have a big influences over the people. When they broadcast stories about that place, they feel like that all the people there are "violent" and "dangerous", when it really isn't. Sure Isreal has some problems, every country does. I guess that the media is just so focus to that place that it is making a bad influence on the people around them.
Sorry if I am wrong or this gets someone upset.

Most of my thoughts have been already said (darn my inability to find this blog!), but I'll try to say what hasn't been said. I am one of the biggest Christians out there, but this really flares me. If I could talk to the guy who made the second and third posts, I'd tell him that we're not all inconsiderate idiots like he is. Some of us have gone through high school and learned about the conflict that's been going for decades. Looking through the eyes of both sides, I'd say Israelis are a little to blame for the conflict too. They took away land from the Palestinians and aren't giving it back. This is fueling blind hatred from both sides and is continuing to this generation; link This is to the IMDB page of a movie called Promises. I saw it in history class and thought it fit the topic. It shows how both sides are doing bad things to each other and they're both at fault. Unfortunately, the media is seeing it through the Palestinians eyes.
