My awkward Basil position -

As you can see, there are two people smiling on this picture. One of them is me. Who am I?

Yes, the girl. Not the guy, the girl. The guy is a Dutch singer called Rolf Koster.

My position on Basil Market, as my title clearly states, is an awkward one. yes, I am accepted by most members, but still I have some remarks, good and bad. I'll list them here:

1. I am European. According to some people I am not supposed to be playing GMS. It's a game for North America only, after all. I have been called "trash", "no life" (Since the abbreviation of the name of my country is "nl"

, and time after time I have been told how my country/continent is inferior to the USA. Now take my word: Only few people have said that USA thing.
They feel I'm leeching off thier game, but as long as Nexon tolerates me they should shut up.

2. I have a tanned character and I have been called "neegar" once, but that was just once and it was a troll. Good job, Basil.

The guy got banned right away, by the way.

3. I noticed how guys tend to speak about girls as "chicks" and they're often boasting about "If I could travel through time I'd go to the future, bang a girl and travel back." Also they (those guys, not every guy) believe they can knock out a whole bunch of people all on their own, and think they can floor a girl by "patting her or giving her a little shove". Also, when a girl doesn't give them what they want they call her "whore". I don't want to sound feminist, but I really hate that kind of talking. My brothers talked like that when they were 9. besides, I'm a girl and a Martial Artist. Think they can shove me and floor me with a "beech clap"?

4. I have also been called a no-lifer and "nerdygirl" cause apparently girls don't play games.

5. Religion-threads annoy the hell out of me (Okay, that pun came unsuspected) because they always end up in a serious "Atheist vc Christian" flame war in which even the mods take sides. For me as an Agnost it's hard to try and be objective. Those threads only lead to hatred, and serve no purpose in my opinion.

6. It's good there are less "Hermits are idiot KSers" threads.

7. People stereotype people from the US as dumb and fat, Asians as hyper-smart but having small *things*, Europeans as stupid and helpless and, to be more specific, the Dutch males as gay pot addicted farmers and the Dutch females as pot addicted whores. Cool. Sorry if I stereotype that as illogical.

8. Grammar Nazis: when someone writes "tyop" on stead of "typo" it has to do with spelling, and not with "grammer", as a LOT of Grammar Nazis call it. Tip: When being a Grammar Nazi, also double check your own spelling. Or better: don't post. I sometimes produce a "Dutchism" and get becritisized hugely over that.

9. Being brave behind a screen is an act of fear, try being brave in real life in stead. I've been called "gay" enough by someone who doesn't know me at all. Besides, I'm straight.

10. Yeah, I know my attack range (677-1103) is low. And that STR Bandits aren't as strong as LUK Bandits. But I couldn't really appreciate it when people called me a "failure". The only one I could appreciate was "STR Bandits are not human". I never knew pixels were human. It gave me a good laugh.

I would like to thank the Moderators for bringing order into chaos. There are many good things on this website too. Maybe I'll list them in the future.

Yeah, yeah I know I should not make a fuss out of it, but sometimes it gets my blood boiling.
