It's weird, that as certain events that shake my nerve gradually inch towards their inevitable occurrence, my mind becomes increasingly active while I sleep.

And in one scenario was you and I, sitting up on a balcony, enjoying cigars and alcohol, of all things. It wasn't by any means romantic, but from what I can remember, in several pieces of the illusion, the setting was merely a gathering for us to update each other about our lives. All of it felt rather nostalgic.

It was comforting in a way that I never would have anticipated. And yet, as all good dreams are, it was abruptly ended upon the chiming of my alarm.
