 I got tired of seeing everyone's traced pics on basilmarket. People would take their basil pic, enlarge it in photoshop, trace over it in a new layer, etc. Until it looked like basically a larger version on their character standing there, expressionless. And everyone with a working knowledge of PS jumped on that bandwagon. But they all did it the same. Their character standing there, expressionless. Nobody changed anything to make it look better. Nobody added in details that the original pixely images didn't show. Often, it seemed that the larger versions people made of their characters were held back by the pixels they were originally made of.Well, MMan's here to change all that, hopefully. If Basilmarket will ACCEPT MY FREAKIN PIC! I took a bannedstory pic of my character with his new hairstyle (^-^) and did one of those traced drawings of it with GIMP. Only, I actually added in details that weren't in the pixely pic, changed stuff that I thought looked bad, and did other stuff a real ARTIST would do. HOPEFULLY, basil wil accept this pic and people will see how you REALLY are supposed to do these. Maybe it'll inspire others to do the same next time. Maybe not, but I've flamed about every PS traced pic that people have posted on basil, and always hinted at showing them all up by doing OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAND times better. I've seen dozens of basil pics traced in Photoshop, never one doing something, changed in any way from the original, or doing an emotion! They continue to accept those, but not mine!
That's the last time I try to do something to help Basilmarket be more creative. -_-
