We got a lot of incredible artwork for most of the character classes for Sword of the New World, so designing this cover was pretty tough. Everyone loved the female fighter art, so she was basically in from the beginning, but we were debating nearly up until the last minute over which guy to partner with her… a fighter (who actually isn’t in the issue) or the Elementalist. In the end, the bare chest won out (it was other things too… he just worked better alongside her). We included the dwarf because he didn’t make it onto the cover of the last issue (but we all still loved the image!). Most people around here like this cover the best because it’s the most colorful.
