In the works, barely.

Just something I've been contemplating finishing. Only real problem is the whole render time thing. This preview render at 800x600 (almost the lowest quality) took a little over five hours. Anyway yeah, by preview render I mean I generally do a lot of preview renders to see what I still have to work on, this image would probably be like 40-50% complete from that point of view, especially if I plan on rendering anything larger. The main things that are unfinished are the foreground lighting, foreground plants, distant plants, water transparency, ground cut-off level and texturing. Basically a lot of small things that take longer than they should. So yeah, a rough sketch so far you might say.

For now, I think It's going to have to wait till December or January when I should eventually get my new PC. Then rendering should be quite a bit faster and I should be able to put a lot more work into it without anything freezing. Pity though, since I was quite excited to actually want to finish this and see the completed result.

Awesome angle, those trees fit it perfectly. It's a shame your rendering takes so long, I can get the 800x600's down to about 20 minutes if I let it sit. Anyways, look forward to some finished work.

Yeah, a full 1600x1200 render would probably take a little less than a week. It's the atmosphere that's killing the render time in this one since I customized it a bit. I usually prefer doing 3200x2400 1000dpi renders though, for poster possibility sake.
