 this was for my drawing II class. the first picture i showed to my teacher. i thought she'll like it but she didnt =( it wasnt creative enough..this was SUPPOSED to be a self portrait but i TRIED to make it creative by giving it a "perfection" "model" kind of look. how was that not creative? it barely looks like me! sigh, she said "oh i love this" and "thats so creative!" to the other students who cut out images from magazines and collaged them. not fair. all i got was a one second glance to make sure i did my hw and a quick "good" ... i was expecting more =( oh well i'll do better next time. i dont draw realism that much so i understand if it isnt up to par with her standards. dont be so down about ir enjoy ur self a bit more besides it is not what the teacher thinks it is what you think and that will determ how good ur art will be latter so have fun dont think about what others say and enjoy yourself

i exaggerated. i got 10/10 for the completion grade but this was the first drawing i showed my teacher and i was hoping to make a good impression.

Dude this is fuckin awesome, so like... keep trying. Show her how you draw, and if she has a problem with it, then she can go die in a corner with her lonely little standards that don't know creative, self-drawn art. Collages better than your pic? Don't even think it. Don't even THINK it. Draw me another one so I can praise it too.

Most of the time my art teacher doesn't say anything to me. My friends said they think she's way to judgemental. My friend drew stick figures, STICK FIGURES for an art report and I painted a picture. A good picture and made it pretty. Guess what? He got a better grade than me.  Even he liked my drawing better than his.So now I just complete the hw and don't really try sometimes. I get a 10/10 and she doesn't even really like me in the first place, so there's no point in me trying sometimes. ._. It's sad really.

or you can go for some satisfaction and ask your teacher to draw a creative self-portrait herself =P
