A normal #2 should be fine to use. But if you really, really want to go all out there are other pencils besides a #2 (2H), which is a medium grade pencil, you can use other drafting pencils; The hardest grade pencil would be a 9H (Which would be good for light drawings), then it goes all the way to the softest grade, which is 6B (That's good for really dark drawings). I use a mech pencil, which is a piece of crap which I stole from my job. Then I use Pigma/Sakura/Micron pens for inking
