New pic, same planet as last time with different lighting, atmosphere, colours, and positioning. I couldn't be bothered to make a new planet until I figure out how to make a decent nebula. As for the name, It's taken from Saturn's ice moon but I'll probably choose another name for this later on when I think of something seen as though this looks absolutely nothing like the real thing.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it was better with or without the flare, but I think it adds something to it that looked like it was missing before.

Wow Eric, how long did that take you?
Blogs: Update!
Bands: Museeeeeeeeeee, Museeeeeee.

Like an hour and a half since I used the same planet as my previous pic, and only removed a bit of and edited some of the land, clouds, and atmosphere. Its a lot easier making a stock planet and then just modifying it a bit for different scenes. But yeah, I need to make something different sometime.

hmm which program you using?
if you wanting some tutorials about making a nebula, try find it from the guy: greg martin ( i think you probably know that name already), not that he is god in these things, but its nice to use it as reference. but his tutorials is been used for alot of times which makes his planet so normal (mostly same in some wallpapers =/)
Bands: Yuki Kajiura, Fripside, Kotoko, Cascada....?

Actually, Greg martin got me into all this, he was my inspiration to try do the same type of stuff. Too bad he only has two tutorials (planet and stars), both of which aren't that great but they were a great start at the time. I currently use Photoshop CS3.

im sure i've been to a site with more of those celestial tutorials, nebulas, planets, milkway etc. i forgot the url though, used some as reference back when i was still walling around.
Bands: Yuki Kajiura, Fripside, Kotoko, Cascada....?

Well, if you ever find them again, please let me know. For now I'm just going the trial and error way trying different things.

You know, you really inspire me when you make stuff in photoshop. After a weeklong class, I still suck
Bands: Less Than Jake, The Aquabats, Streetlight Manfesto, and LOTS more.

Ah, I'm sure you know some things I don't. I still need to go on a photoshop course sometime just to touch up on all the things I have yet to learn. You just have to find the right techniques to make things.
