Haha, that's the problem. My dad recently got a new laptop; budget started small, kept on expanding bit by bit as he looked around, each time justified by the fact that it was just a little more than the previous price.
Anyway, good luck with your purchase, hopefully everything works. It should.

Second one doesn't look too bad. Only thing with it that I can see from the reviews is a background static sound noise with the default sound card. My Asus sound card was trash too, it's not something Asus is good at. If you choose it (It looks reasonable otherwise), be sure to pick up a separate sound card, you should be able to get one fairly cheaply. Creative is usually the best company for those.
Maybe check the Asus website for recent BIOS updates for that particular board and just see if any of them mention fixes even for the sound and/or other issues that you might see in the more negative reviews. That and checking the forum section for the board. Each Asus motherboard has its own forum section on the official Asus forums; very useful to see how many people are having trouble with them (in my case, a lot, but the problems got resolved sooner or later), and how to fix them. For the most part, people are generally just stupid and doing things wrong.

Not a problem.
I don't know that much about Gigabyte and overclocking support. Only systems I've had a Gigabyte mobo on were locked-down on brand name PC's. Only 13 reviews probably explains the higher rating though. I'd probably just go with the Intel one over it as far as brands go. Weren't there any other cheaper Asus boards? I would imagine that an Nvidia SLI or ATI CrossFireX based board would be more expensive, so a standard one might be cheaper, if they have any.
