Updated Profil3 layout
You might have noticed the new Profil3 page layout that makes things look like a proper homepage with menu options for easier navigation (to match the same updates to the Guild pages!). I've also given everyone an 'about me' page and made the info/music boxes much larger so you can input far more text about yourself. You're welcome to use the pseudo tags (ie, [url, [b, etc) to spruce up this about page.
New snippet feature
I've also added a fun little 'snip' feature that lets you put up a quick little blurb to indicate what you're doing at the moment. IE, 'watching Heroes', 'making dinner', 'stuffing my face with cheeseburgers', 'grinding to level 90', 'talking to my guild mates about the drama between x and y's breakup', etc etc. It's a quick way for people to see what you're up to RIGHT now.
And while I've got your attention, this is a good time to urge everyone to invite their friends/guild mates to Profil3. The more friends you have on the site, the more fun you'll have.

What are your views on posting this site on social networking news sites like slashdot or digg?
Would your servers be able to survive them if profil3 were to make homepage?
Most the people here are from basilmarket, spreading the word about profil3 through other places would get users from other mmorpg's to join.

Snippets are cool I guess. They remind me of notes on Facebook. A tad stalkerish but fun. To be honest, I liked having the pictures in the middle of the guild page. They were more colorful. And now the left column looks really empty while the middle is just full of ugly STUFF. Blogs are fugly in the middle and take up so much space. I like the new listing for members though, looks more organized. I liked the old forums too because we could see how many pages each one was going to. That way you could tell which forums were more important without sticking them. Otherwise, great improvements? We know you work really hard to make Profil3 beter.

Mindstormer: I do have experience with being Slashdotted, and it wasn't pretty, but my server setup has increased since then. I'm not sure how Digg's traffic compares? Basically, I think the site still needs a few little things before I really want it pushed on the bigger sites. We're almost there tho!
wyldekiwi: hmm... I don't think you're the only one who liked the pics in the middle. But I tend to think that the forums are the life blood of a page, hence why I made them first and foremost. I'll consider sprucing up the frontpage somehow. You still have the old forum listing, you just have to click on 'forum'. Your guild's frontpage simply shows the LATEST forum posts, hence why it looks different.
Digg is a little more potent. 
I remember back when sites would actually survive. Nowadays 70% of sites to make it to homepage go down. The "Digg effect"
I would wait a while then.

The snippets are a great idea. If more people join Profil3, other player will know what they're doing, or if they're playing maple or not.
Also I have a suggestion for basilmarket: Have an option when a member is logged on (at basilmarket) to say if they're on maple or not. So people who want to make trades can check basil first to see if they're on or not, without having the trouble of starting MS. It may not be useful to the people who play 24/7 but I can't always get on and seeing if they're on through a website will take less time than checking in game. So I can quickly log on and trade if thay are.
ok back to Profil3, I think the guild search is messed up. It says "there is no such guild".
