I'm gonna try and keep this as brief as possible. generally, you all know I want an atmosphere as relaxed as possible, so very few concrete rules will ever exist.
First off, the general member rules:
1) I will NEVER send out a random guild invite. Also, fair enough, we WILL occasionally recruit your friends into the guild, but entering and asking for multiple people to also be recruited just isn't right =/ Try to keep this to a minimum.
2) This guild will NOT encourage hacking. Anyone caught actively cheating (this encompasses Hacking, gOPQ, and scamming) will be expelled immediately. However, that said, I do not have a requirement that you are on the ranks to join - If you dislike that, please don't apply.
3) The only requirement to join is that you are willing to help your guildmates have a good time in game, and offer support and advice where possible. Damage whores and trolls need not apply
4) I don't want anyone in my guild to be actively bullied without fair provocation. People being hyperactive and talkative is not reason to boot them, so don't even ask. Any case other than breaking rule number 2 needs constant and/or severe provocation to result in being expelled. Also, as a part of this, please be considerate when you are chatting in guild. Those of us above level 80 tend to spend the majority of our grinding time at training maps where we can be killed in 3 hits or less - Please consider the potential for death in any given response, and allow time for response before assuming you've been ignored.
5) I'll never expand the guild beyond 50 slots. I personally feel that that is the right size - any more and you're just trying to start a pixel gang for intimidation purposes. f3.
6) This applies to any and every member: YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACCOUNT, LOGGED ONTO IT OR NOT. If you share your info, you'd better make sure that whoever you share with won't act like a douche in my guild. Fair enough, if you don't want anyone butting into your business, ask politely. Discussions of that nature really shouldn't be held in any remotely public setting anyway >_>
7) Please be considerate towards your leaders. Given the type of people forming the userbase for kokuren, it can be hard to get people to follow any guideline at any given time, and leading you guys can be stressful, to put it bluntly. Particularly, pay attention to this rule during GPQ and follow the quest leader's instructions at all times
8) there are currently no plans to go to zakum as kokuren, and horntail is laughable. Don't even ask, please
JUNIOR MASTERS
1) Cheri is considered by me to be a secondary leader of Kokuren. Consider her a forum admin, as opposed to a moderator, for a term that's easily understandable
2)Bera's Guilds and Leaders 3.0 Rule 2 for junior masters is more or less an fyi - This guild is posted there in case anyone has any problem with any member of kokuren. Junior masters may be occasionally contacted from time to time to report things such as our members KSing or cheating. Hopefully it won't happen at all, but this is just a warning that it MIGHT happen. Anyone contacting because of that list and requesting entry is to be refused immediately.
3) Pay attention to the kokuren blacklist in the guild BBS. It will only end up here if it's too big to fit there anymore, so check it regularly for updates.
4) Unless it's under rule number 2, do not expel anyone without consulting me or cheri first. (cheri, I do trust your judgement here, so if anyone feels someone needs to be kicked, and they come to you, go with what you think is right
) Bear in mind that I will from now on, allow temporary expulsion in cases of someone being annoying, to shut them up. Do not abuse this power though xP
5) if you let anyone on your account (friend or zrunner) you better be damn sure they won't try and kick everyone. This comes under members' rule number 6. Given the nature of how I trust each of you (and technically in a somewhat hypocritical fashion) you guys will not be expelled - however you will be permanently demodded for it.
6) All new recruits to the guild are to be run by me. Cheri is the only junior master with an exception to this. I will eventually expand and reserve some slots for mules/alts, so they can get in easily, just let me know about it first
7) Concerning my own power: I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO PUNISH YOU FOR ANY REASON NOT LISTED IN THESE RULES IF AND/OR WHEN DEEMED NECESSARY
Rules for gpq can be found Here. Failure to follow them will lead to you being left out of future guild quests. Attempting to crash guild PQ after being refused entry will lead to temporary expulsion from kokuren.
I want input here, these are the only concrete rules. I'd appreciate if you didn't ask to be a JM. If the right people join, then I have a good idea who'll be placed in authority already.
Feel free to suggest anything you want, or would like to help this guild grow and flourish. It's as much about creating a group for my friends to be part of as it is for me to meet new people, and take a shot at creating a good guild that any members will be proud to be a part of.
Finally, these rules are not designed to sap out the fun of being with us. Note I didn't lay down any rules for what actually goes on in guild chat lol
I just want to make sure that when it comes down to it, when a junior master, myself, or cheri makes a decision, it is followed.
As for an explanation of the guild name? Kokuren is the romanji word for United in the japanese language (yay weaboo) and that's exactly what Iw ant my guild to be. It doesn't have to be perfect, and you don't have to get on with everyone, but the friendlier the atmosphere is, the better the guild grows as a whole
In return for following the rules set here, you can expect, within reason:
1) We will back you up in any required defensive KSing. (however, DO NOT STEAL ANY MAPS. WE WON'T HELP YOU.) bear in mind however, that none of us can be justifiably expected to run from leafre/ludi to boot someone off of a mushroom map in victoria island. Ask for assistance from the peopel closest to you, if they can drive off any KSers alone.
2) While in kokuren, we will assist you in dealing and getting rid of harassers. in my mind, if anyone picks a fight with any of us, they pick one with all of us. Cheesy, but meh. i don't care about that. Please try to follow this mentality, as I would like for everyone to be close enough to WANT to do it, as opposed to feeling they HAVE to.
3) We will defend you in any accusations of illegitimate behaviour, bar in examples where it can be vouched for by a trusted member of the community, a zakum host, or the accusation is backed by a clear, unedited screenshot.
As a final note, any problems with any leader in the guild is to be brought to either myself or cheri. We will always try to settle things in a satisfactory manner for everyone
With all this in mind, enjoy your stay here, and have fun
