hmmm... Last time we checked, right after Aeris died, Cloud asks the others to come with him to defeat Sephiroth. He tells them he is scared, but he asks the group for a favor... To continue on even though the journey may be dangerous.
Do i see cloud obsessed with Aeris' death? nooooooo
omg i was going to list all the times cloud did NOT act the way he did in advent children, but there are just too many.
pay attention to scenes in FFVII and you'll see how wrongly they portrayed cloud in Advent children. NOT ONCE did cloud ask Aeris for forgiveness. NOT EVER did he feel guilty or blah blah. At most you could say he was distraught or something. He did not curl up in a ball and assume the fetal position at Aeris' flowers.
Cloud is a bit crazy when it comes to Aeris though. For example, he sees... Aeris' hand after he beats Sephiroth? i don't think beating sephiroth was some symbol for avenging her death. I don't think Cloud was being delusional and thinking that beating sephiroth would somehow bring her back.
But you don't see any of that "It's my fault! I AM MY OWN MONSTER!" acting when cloud talks about Aeris. He thinks he knows where to find her. Tifa agrees; she wants to meet Aeris there too.
and then in advent children... WHERE DID THAT GO? what happened to finding Aeris? what happened to Cloud and Tifa teamwork? NOOO they travel back in time to BEFORE the hospital scene where cloud finds himself with the help ofTifa. By the end of FFVII, cloud was pretty much back to his old self! "Let's mosey"
and then in advent children, all of a sudden he's acting like when he thought he was Zack.
oh well 3 years is a long time.. They're not busy fighting sephiroth anymore. NO NOOO Cloud already resolved his little issues. I don't see why they're playing that "aeris is dead and it's my fault" card. I don't see why he is shoving Tifa away. That REALLY don't make sense. i'm trying to think.... since when did Cloud shove Tifa away?
