The old forums stink. For these reasons
1. No smilies
2. No ability to makes sigs, avies, and post pics
3. Only one font
4. Limited typing space
5. No ability to use italics, slash, bold, underline
6. No Ability to make lists like i'm doing right now
7. Only one size
8. Was spammy
9. No moderation
10. Just plain sucked...
In short i like these better, and you maplers, don't flame me!

To be honest, some of us have grown accustomed to how the old forums were, and when they changed them, they took out a lot of the things that made the old forums fun.
1.) Rate me threads. Even though they were stupid, they were also quite fun. I know for a fact that every one of the true old forumers made at least one when they got new NX.
2.) Bumping was awesome. In the new forums, I can't bump my threads that I want people to read and comment on anymore, which sucks...
3.) No moderation. I could use identities to swear and say things that were otherwise blocked (or use the filter glitch) and not get in trouble for it. Sure, there were those people out there that abused it, but other than that, it was quite useful for my stories and other writings, and I know that the other forumers used them too. Also, subjects weren't moderated either. We could talk about anything, from MapleStory to sex and masterbation to what we had for lunch that day. Anything was acceptable, even religion.
4.) Yes you could make lists like this...>.>
5.) Finally, the trolls. Yes, you heard right, the trolls made the forums fun. Most of us took joy in shooting them down, some of us just cussed them out, but all of us hated them for trolling, yet liked them because they were fun to mess with.
I didn't mind not having a siggy, I just typed my own, as did many others. As for the avatar, it was sorta fun to dress up our MS characters to show our sense of style and it also showed something about our personalities. The smilies I can live without; this works fine. --> =D The size and font didn't matter at all, and yes, the space was limitted, but that didn't bother many, we just split it into multiple posts. Lastly, the bold/italics/underline were never really necessary, we always just wrote in capitols to emphasize something, and some of us still do.

Yes but you can't do them word style
Where you can press enter and a number pops up like in the new forumz
You had to do them manually that's what i meant

Aside from that, I think my point was proven. The Old Forums were much easier to navigate and use, and many of us really enjoyed them.
