Goldspot: LA-based indie band that has recently toured the UK to promote their album Tally of the Yes Men. Easily one of the most promising bands to come out of LA since the early punk scene (if you're into that stuff); Goldspot blends folk rock with the vocal sounds of Bollywood in a very productive fashion.

Unofficial video of their UK single (?) , 'It's Getting Old'.

The video is actually pretty damn great.

Beirut: A band that officially consists of one member (Zach Condon), but frequently employs the assistance of artists such as Jeremy Barnes (Neutral Milk Hotel, A Hawk and a Hacksaw) and Heather Trost (A Hawk and a Hacksaw). Beirut's music is a wonderful blend of Condon's 1950's crooner voice, and a myriad of instruments (no guitar, though!) that creates a style of music that seems to merge Folk and Eastern European sounds into one.

Music video of "Elephant Gun" which the YouTube user very accurately describes as a "mustachioed debauchery set to a ukulele-accordion waltz."

Very promising artist; I hope to see more great things from Beirut in the future.

I just recently uncovered a gem of a band called Ring of Fire. I think that their song "My Deja Vu" is the best, then again I haven't heard much from them. I recomend this band.

Sadly I don't. I'm sure that I could whip something up though.
