I really need to watch new animes to, you know, broaden my horizons or something. So, please post the animes that you REALLY enjoy and WHY you like it.

Most definitely! You totally have to. The mind games on that anime is awesome. I wasn't too pleased a few episodes later, but I won't spoil it for you. All you need to know is that you should watch it.

Looks like not much people watch real comedy anime, take a look at Nagasarete Airantou, Hayate no Gotoku (Hilarious), Lucky Star. And for some blood spilling terror you got Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni! All of them recomended
