IBO is overrated. I remember, I had a portfolio interview to get into the fine arts program at college, and the woman asked me what my grades were like, and, you know, I tried to slip in the fact that I was in IBO.
She was like "what's that?"

Good luck Denise, I hope that the manufacturer fixes it for you. I asked my friend what may be wrong with your computer and he said when the screen freezes up at random, its sometimes the computer's fans fault. Also, no problem glad to help anyway I can.

If you reformatted and the problems are still there, then its probably a hardware malfunction. You're laptop is still under warranty, so you should to see what you can get from the manufacturer. Another thing that it could be, is that one of the files that you were transferring may have been corrupt and had some type of virus or trojan. I think that it is a hardware failure (I got a labtop about a year ago and it started acting about a month after I got it), so I would first check to see what the manufacturer would do before trying anything else. Other then that, I would say double check to see if the files you are transferring are clean.
