1.flume- a portal through time and space 2.territory- a section of Halla 3.Halla- everything that ever existed, exists, or will exist 4.klee- jungle-cat like creatures that are the main inhabitants of Eelong. They can talk like humans. 5.gar- the quigs on Eelong. they are humans. Very few noraml gars can speak. used to be treated like dirt by the klees. 6.quig- Saint Dane's minions. They are different for each territory 7.tang- raptors on Eelong Spader and Gunny Prologue: Trapped On Eelong The flume had collapsed because the territories had been mixed. They were trapped. Spader and Gunny were trapped on a territory with man-eating dinosaurs. They would have to find another flume to escape. To Be Continued… Part One: A Plan Spader and Gunny talked with Boon over what they were going to do. Spader said, “Well, we’re definitely going to have to find another flume. There’s no way we can use the old one now.” Gunny shot back, “We already knew that! We just don’t know where to look!” Boon said, “I could ask the klees to help search! That would make it a lot faster!” “Yes, but will they help?”, Gunny added. Boon answered, “I think they will, but not without something in return.” “What will they want in return for helping us?” Spader asked. “Food” Boon answered. “Uh-oh” Gunny said. “What?” Spader asked. “Gathering food is dangerous, especially for gars.” Boon told him. “What’s a gar?” Spader asked blankly. “You and me are gars” Gunny answered. “So what’s so dangerous?” Spader asked. “Tangs” Gunny and Boon said together. “What’s a tang?” Spader asked. Suddenly there was a scream and they went out to take a look. What they saw was a tang dragging off a gar. “That’s a tang” Boon said. “This is a tumtigger” Spader said. To Be Continued… Part Two: Tangs So Boon went asking if they could help search for the flume (he didn’t say flume he told them to look for a cave with a star over it). Most refused but quite a few said they’d help (2 out of every 5 klees). Some even said they’d help for nothing(1 out of every 15). So they started to harvest food. For the first couple of days, they didn’t have any trouble. Then they met disaster. Ten tangs attacked. They dropped their food and picked up sticks (they couldn’t borrow weapons like the one Kasha used to save the gar). 3 went after Spader, 4 went after Boon, and 3 went after Gunny. Boon knocked one out in about ten seconds by beating it’s head to the ground. Spader was having a little more trouble with his tang’s. He was used to shooting spear guns. He tried hitting it on the head like Boon did, but he wasn’t as strong as Boon and it bit his arm. Gunny was having a little trouble to because he was older but not as much as Spader. He knocked one into the other and broke the other’s jaw. He rushed over to Spader and started to fight Spader’s tangs. Spader ripped his shirt and used it to bandage his arm. He got up and using his other hand, grabbed a rock and threw it at a tang that was charging at Boon from behind. The tang turned around and Boon whacked it from behind. It fell over and Spader picked up his stick and killed it with a blow to the head. The tang with the broken jaw ran away. The tang that Boon knocked out woke up and ran away to. The 7 that were left weren’t about to give up. Spader, Boon, and Gunny grouped together. The tangs spread out around them. The tangs charged. Spader, Boon, and Gunny ran in different directions. The tangs collided. They ran and whacked each of the tangs in the head. They were knocked out. They looked around and saw that all the fruit they’d picked that day was squashed. It was getting dark. They headed back to Boon’s house and bandaged Spader’s arm better. To be continued… Part Three: Spader’s Decision “I think you should stay behind today Spader” Boon said. “No. I’m fine see!” *waves arm around* “Ow!” he said. “It’s just one day” Gunny said. “You’ll need me if the tangs attack again!” Spader yelled. “We’ll just run away if they do” Gunny told him. “But I want to help! Spader cried. “Like Gunny said, it’s just one day” Boon said. “But it’s one third of a day’s worth of food too!” Spader said. “We’ll manage” Gunny said smiling. “Oh okay” Spader said. “But tomorrow I’m going too!” Spader said. “We’ll see” Gunny said. So they left with their bags to go to the fields. Meanwhile Spader sat wondering how much food they’d gathered. “I should be helping them” he thought. So Spader picked up his bag and headed out. He didn’t go to the same field they were in because he thought they’d make him go back. His bag was half full when two tangs charged at him. “Uh-oh” he said. He started to run back to Boon’s house. The two tangs were catching up to him. He took some fruit out of his bag and threw it on the ground making it slippery. One of the tangs slipped and fell. The other kept going. It was catching up to Spader. It was only 7 ft. behind him. It scratched him on his injured arm. “AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!” he cried. Gunny and Boon both heard his scream. “What was that?” Gunny asked. “Probably just a gar” Boon answered. “I’m going to go check it out” Gunny said, dropping his bag. “I’m coming with you” Boon said. They ran towards the source of the noise to see Spader lying on the ground with a tang over him. “Spader!” Gunny cried. “We’ve got to help him!” Boon yelled. Gunny picked up his stick and charged at the tang. The tang bit Gunny’s hand and he dropped the stick. The tang was moving to bite his neck. “No!” Boon cried. He ran picked up Gunny’s stick in his other hand and started beating away at the tang with both sticks. He killed it. He ran to the tang that had slipped earlier. It had gotten up. He knocked it out with two swift blows. He ran over to Spader and Gunny and ripped Spader’s bag to bandage Gunny’s hand. He looked at Spader with a face that said, “Why can’t you just do what we say?” To Be Continued… Part Four: Quigs They headed back to Boon’s house. “What about the food?” Spader asked. “I’ll go back for it later. You two need to rest, and Gunny, make sure he stays in the house.” Boon said with a grin. “I will” Gunny said. “I’m sorry” Spader said. “I should have just stayed here and rested. Then we’d have more food and Gunny wouldn’t be hurt. “It’s okay” Gunny said. “I’ll live.” “Well, I’ll go get the food now” Boon said. “Boon” Spader said. “Yes” Boon said. “I’m sorry for not listening to you. Also there’s still some food in my bag.” Spader said. “Okay” Boon said. So Boon left to go get the food. A few hours later, Boon ran in looking very tired. “There are tons of quigs out there” he gasped. “Quigs?” Spader and Gunny said together standing up. “Yes. But they aren’t from Eelong.” Boon said. “Where are they from?” Gunny asked. “I don’t know.” Boon said. “They’re spiders” “Spiders?” “Yes spiders” Boon said. “I wonder how they got here?” Spader asked. “Saint Dane” Gunny said. “Well at least we know there’s another flume somewhere” Spader said. To Be Continued… Part Five: A Plan “I think you two should stay behind today. If the quigs or tangs attack again you won’t be able to defend yourself. Especially you Gunny.” “We understand” Gunny said. Spader said, “I don-” Boon cut him off. “We know you don’t but think about what happened last time!!!” “I’m sorry” Spader said looking down. “Gunny, please make sure he doesn’t do anything stupid” Boon added. “How are you going to pick three times the amount of fruit you usually pick?!” Spader said. “Oh, I’m not picking fruit today. I’m going to go see if anyone saw which direction the quigs were coming from.” “Hey! That would lead us to the flume!” Gunny yelled. “Exactly” Boon said smiling. The next day, Boon came in looking exhausted. “What happened?” Gunny asked. Boon sat down and said, “The quigs are attacking.” “Where are they?” Spader asked. “About three miles (or whatever they say) away in all directions.” “What are we going to do?” Gunny asked. “There’s only one thing to do. We can’t fight all those quigs by ourselves. We’ll have to protect the klees and gars while they evacuate.” Boon said. “I thought you said that they were surrounding us” Spader said. “They can go across the tree bridges” Boon said. “Well let’s go tell them the plan” Gunny said. “By the way, did anyone know which direction the quigs came from?” Spader said. “Yes but we can’t worry about that now” Boon answered. “Hobey-Ho Let’s Go.” To Be Continued… Part Six: Evacuation So they started the evacuation. Some of the klees didn’t want to leave their homes. Others were eager to leave. Some of the klees even agreed to help them protect the other klees. So Boon went with another klee to protect one group. Spader and Gunny protected another. And the other klees split into groups of two to protect other groups. The evacuation went well for the first few days. On the fourth day, one group of klees was attacked. The klees started running to meet another group. One of the klees protecting the group was killed. The other managed to escape. They met with Boon’s group about an hour later. Boon asked what happened and the klee told him that the spiders attacked. So they started hurrying even faster to evacuate the klees. The next day they split up even more. Each group only had one guard now. The quigs were getting closer every day. One day a lone klee ran up to Boon gasping. “What happened?” Boon asked. “My group has been attacked” The klee gasped. “Where are the others” Boon asked. “I’m the only one who escaped” The klee told him. “How many of them were there?” Boon asked. “Hundreds of spiders. But I’m not sure they are real.” He said. “You’re not sure they’re real?” Boon asked confused. “When the klee guard attacked them they broke open and there wasn’t any bug juice, only little ropes that had tinier colored ropes inside. They also had little boxes in them that all the ropes were connected to. Also little sparks flew from them when they were smashed. Sometimes they would blow up when they were smashed. They also were really hard on the outside.” He told Boon. “Well you catch your breath and then join the group I’m protecting.” Boon told him. “By the way, where is your group?” The klee asked. Boon looked around and the group wasn’t there. “They must have kept on walking. Come on! We’ve got to find them!” Boon said. They started running along the tree bridges. After a few minutes they found the group under attack of the quigs. “Get out of here!” Boon yelled to the klee. The klee started running. Boon ran toward the group. Two of the klees were dead, one had fallen off the bridge but was still alive, and one was injured badly. The other klee came running up with two other klees behind him. They all started to smash the quigs. The klee who had brought help had the idea to kick the quigs off the edge. That way they could kill more than one at a time. One of the two klees that had come to help fell off. Boon smashed three quigs that all blew up and injured on klee in the group but also killed seven other quigs. Soon all the klees were free. Boon told them to run. Then Boon and the two other klees (including the one that had survived the first attack) picked up the injured and ran behind the group of klees. Four klees had died. To Be Continued… Part Seven: The Final Day This would be their final day of evacuation. They only needed to evacuate one fourth the amount of groups, so they had two guards to one group again. Boon told Spader and Gunny what the klee had said about the quigs. They didn’t know what they could be. The other klees went back to their families. After about half the day, Gunny and Spader’s group was attacked. They made sure all the klees were safely away, then they climbed further up the trees and took out klee knives. They both cut good thick branches to use as weapons. They climbed back down and started smashing the quigs. Once again some exploded, some caught on fire, but they all had the ropes and box. Finally Gunny understood. “Machines!” he shouted. “Huh?” Spader said. “The quigs are machines!” Gunny said. “That’s what the klee was talking about! I thought he would have just said they were machines but I forgot, there’s no such thing as a machine on Eelong.” Spader said. “Well we’ve still got to destroy them.” Gunny said. “We’ll never be able to destroy them all!” Spader said. “I guess you’re right. We’ll have to leave.” Gunny said. So they ran after the group. They had made it safely to the evacuation point. “Well that’s everyone.” Boon said. “Yeah I guess we can look for the flume now.” Spader said. “Brilliant deduction Dr. Watson.” Gunny said sarcastically. “Who’s Dr. Watson?” Spader asked. “Never mind” Gunny said. “The klees said they came from the opposite direction of the other flume.” “Well that shouldn’t be too hard.” Gunny said. “Yeah.” Spader said. “Well let’s go.” Boon said. “Hobey-Ho Let’s Go!” Spader shouted. To Be Continued… Final Part: Getting Off Eelong So they headed out to find the flume. It wasn’t hard to find. First they went to Zadaa because that was where Bobby had gone before the flume collapsed. They found Loor and she accompanied them to Quillan. There they found Elli and she took them to Third Earth. There they met Patrick and he told them that Bobby had gone to Ibara for the final battle against Saint Dane. So then they went to all the other Travelers and they all went to Ibara. There they found Saint Dane holding a shot gun and Mark talking to Bobby who was lying on the ground. “You aren’t going to get away with this!” Gunny shouted. Saint Dane turned around and said, “Yes I will. You are all young and ignorant.” “But we aren’t!” someone said from behind him. Saint Dane wheeled around. Then they saw all the past Travelers like Press, Osa, Spader’s father, Kasha, and Seegen. Then Nevva came up with an army of quigs behind her. “Good job Nevva” Saint Dane said. “Thanks. Now attack!” Nevva said. The quigs charged at Saint Dane. “What’s Happening?!” Saint Dane cried. “Never should have taught me your powers Saint Dane!” Nevva shouted. Mark ran down to Bobby and said, “Courtney’s really fine. I just needed Saint Dane to believe me.” “How long has Nevva been on our side?” Bobby asked. “She says since the beginning. The trustees found out she was a reviver and made her bring the loop. Then she went with Saint Dane to trick him into believing she was on his side.” Mark told him. “Well everything turned out okay didn’t it, and it was all because of them.” Uncle Press said pointing at the young Travelers. “Nevva since you can control the quigs, could you come to Eelong? We have a bit of a spider quig problem there.” Boon said. “No problem.” Nevva said. They walked away to go back to Eelong. The End. Please tell me how you liked it. Please don't criticize on any spelling mistakes or bad grammar. I'm 12 years old. Also, if you like this (and if you didn't like it!), you should read the actual Pendragon series by D.J. MacHale.
