I'm not good at math, but I'm better than a good section of people at my school. Then again, they read as well as I did in 6th grade.

Whenever someone is good at math or science they will be called a nerd. When a person is good at (insert social studies class) or english they are not considered nerds. Why? The reason is pure logic. The white man(yes I realize this sounds stereotypical) is generally better at social studies and english than math and science. Math and science require the application of knowledge and the ability to adapt to certain situations when solving problems. English and social studies are more about analyzation of text and memorization. Granted, math and science do involve memorization but it requires application to solve a problem.

English and (US History, World History and US Gov't/Economics) are put in higher priority than math and science. Even great explorers, members of historic events and great authors are put over the many scientists and mathmaticians who have developed the very laws and formulas that rule over the aspects of the world. Have often do you hear people praise about great authors? Compare this to scientists and mathmaticians and you have a large gap in between that is in favor of these very authors.

Guilds: HolyDoom, IronArrows Groups: Addicted to Asian Dramas, Anti-Hackers United, Asian Pride! Moreover, science and math seem to be the very subjects that are the dividing factor between students. Generally, there are fewer students skilled in math and science than there are skilled in english and social studies. As of that, I believe those skilled in the divisions of math and science are the set apart from the ordinary people of society. As an example I will relate my past experiences during my previous years in high school. In my AP Chemistry class, there were only about 25 students. In my AP Calculus AB class there were about 45-50 students in there. In my AP Calculus BC class there are only about 20-25 students. Even my AP Physics C class is made of approximately 30-35 students. Now with the exception to Calculus AB(which was 2 classes) the other subjects only had one class in the whole school. AP US has about 4-6 classes and they even have to split it up upon 2 teachers. This is the same with English.
