Ok I'm coining a new phrase here, Basil Bait.

Bas·il Bait (bâzil, bâs'-, bâ'zil, -s) (beyt)

1. A picture or over-used phrase with a sarcastic or humorous theme posted in response to a seemingly ridiculous or idiotic post or topic for the sole purpose of gaining 'lulz' and popularity; such postings lure Basil mods to ban the account of the one posting Basil Bait for "junk".
