Medieval Total Lack of Sleep - Medieval Total War

I gotta stop playing Medieval II: Total War until 6 AM.
I actually hate rolling out of bed at about 2 or 3 PM. The day goes by so freaking fast when you do that, like its on fast-forward. Suddenly you're back at work daydreaming "D'oh!!"
But, DAMN! >< *Why* did they make it take SO long to make handgunners?? WHY can't I STILL not make trans-atlantic ships?? I have like 3 or 4 *huge* cities?? WTF??
Oh, and multiple fronts suck ass, especially against the Mongols. DAMN YOU MONGOLS! I wanna go to bed!!
The Timurids *almost* met the Mongols...but then they veered off. Dernit. That woulda been cool.
My vast and most powerful Venetian Empire is crumbling. I only have about 60 turns left, AND I had Constantinople for so freaking long, but the Mongols are on the verge of conquering it! I'm gonna lose, I just know it. I'm pulled in too many directions and it takes fucking FOREVER to make the really cool stuff! DAMN YOU MONGOOOOOOLS!
And now it's about 7 AM.
Update(3-24-2008): I have finally beaten back the dreaded Timurids with my strong and mighty French Empire! I have about 18 forts in the former Polish territories, and just enough reinforcements, as well as serpentine and culverin cannons. It also helps that my French Empire and the Timurds took so long in meeting each other that apparently the 10-star Timurid family members died off leaving only 3 or 4 star family members or regular generals. Awesome cool!
