Mechacon 3.0 - Anime Convention - pocky, Robotech, swords, video games

Well I planned several months ago to pay for a room and the whole weekend pass, but I had lost my job right after school ended (Worked for the school, tech dept) and was unable to get a job before the deadline. I didn't expect to go at all until my best friend called me and asked if I wanted to go just for Saturday. I gladly accepted, it was so fun!

I spent most of, if not all, of my time in the dealer's room. There was SOO much stuff to see in there! In the middle there was the biggest anime DVD collection I've EVER seen! They all went for $25 a disc T.T so I had to pass on that. ( I get stuff like that for free anyway >.>

While I was looking through the movies, I saw Silent Bob's twin! I had to stare at him for like 5 minutes to realize it wasn't him.....LOL! Right by the door, there was a booth selling Japanese soda and pocky. The soda was pretty fun to play with, it had a cool marble in it. When I pressed down on the marble with the little piece in the cap, there's a loud pop and it fizzes. Tasted really good! IDK why, but the Pocky was labeled "Men's Pocky". Something tells me there's an ingredient that only works on men? XD

In the very back, there were swords everywhere! Last year I couldn't touch them, since I was only 17. This year, I touched them all! It was hard to resist swinging them around... In the end, I only bought two things.

1) Cloud Strife action figure from Final Fantasy VII Advent Children
2) Squall's Griever necklace and ring from Final Fantasy VIII (Comes with a small metal gunblade! 2 inches)

I hope to go next year for all 3 days, as I'll probably have a job to pay for it all. b^.^
