The end of something good. The beginning of something better -

Well, since I have a profil3 for myself and my comic, Chaos Ensign (which is basically a cheap way to form a homepage for the comic and use blogs as a kind of update... but don't worry! I'll do enough ranting in here to constitute it as a blog... also I'm too lazy to make a website =.= ) , Now is a good time to announce that I will no longer be making the comic: Chaos Ensign. ( Hold on, before you go and kill me, let me continue) As in "No longer making" I mean in it's pixelated form (ie: BannedStory, cleverly edited objects and backgrounds and screen shots). Instead, during the several months of dormancy the always seems to follow a single episode, I like to take time out to draw and practice drawing manga style.

The whole reason why I'm doing this is because when I did the comics using character sprites, I found the sprites hard to work with, so the panel doesn't turn out to what I envisioned; What I imagine an awesome fighting with the characters using kickass moves and using different camera angles to give the panel more depth is severely restricted to what I'm able to do with the pixels. For example, I want a scene with a vanishing point (Think looking down railroad tracks as they converge at one point in the horizon), but I can't always make that happen using 2-D sprites (The only exception is link , which is probably the hardest I've ever worked on a comic). So basically because of this restriction, I find myself sitting in front of the comp for an extremely long time, sometimes and hour or so, thinking of how to to get around this restriction, make the panel look good, and still have the outcome of what I envisioned it to be. But in most cases, I get extremely demoralized to work on it and go do something else, which explains why there's a month between each episode.

So, after I get a good amount of practice in, I'll start spitting out Chaos Ensign in manga-esque form, the last pixelated episode should be #016 and I'll also upload my drawings ( Which aren't too good... they're ok, so I REALLY have to step it up to make it qualify as manga) and I'm not worried about getting demoralized from drawing because I love drawing, even though they can be crappy, especially my character designs, there are some good ones, which are abstract scenery. I also aspire to become a graphic designer, work for a company (preferably a gaming one, for character designs), and keep drawing no matter what. I just need a high enough skill in drawing, quality supplies, and my own drawing style.
