INGREDIENTS
3 pints fresh strawberries
1/2 cup white sugar
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2-3 eggs
1 cup milk
2 cups of whipped cream
DIRECTIONS
1. Slice the strawberries and toss them with 1/2 cup of white sugar and enough water to cover all the strawberries. Place in the fridge.
Note: When i mean slice i mean slice into very thin pieces. About this thick each. l l

I think I can make this =) Do the strawberries have to be fresh and idk if I have baking powder. Is there a way to subsitute it?
