I went to the Rush Snakes and Arrows Concert on Saturday Jun 23rd at the Nissan Pavilion, Bristow, VA. Rush is a Canadian rock band consisting of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart, and was formed in 1968.
You could get to know more about the band through its website - link, or through various other resources.
I got free VIP tickets (2) and went with my BF, both of us not extremely familiar with the band's current work. Knew and heard about them a long time ago, but at the time their style wasn't really up my alley. Their style had changed over the years, so I thought, why not. As it turned out, it was one heck of a great night. The night was perfect for it, the crowd was enthusiastic, the pyros and lasers were cool, and the music rocked. Alex Lifeson was awesome on guitar, and my favorite portion of the performance was Neil Peart's drum solo. No words can describe it so I won't try.
For those who want an experience, check out Youtube. There are postings of cellphone recordings of the concert on there.
If you have gone to one of the concerts, I wonder what they do to the chickens? Darn, I wanted one, they looked good.
