I love it when I hear the comment, "MapleStory is a waste of time".
Of course it is, that's the point! It's a hobby, recreation, it passes the time. If you want to be Mother Theresa and devote all your free time to do stuff that really matters, then be my guest.
Another great commonly heard quip: "You spend all that time playing an MMO, and for what? You have nothing in the end."
To paraphrase George Carlin: "Gee, I guess I shouldn't eat this juicy apple then. Because all I'll have at the end is a core!"
Another fantastic line: "You play that too much, I'd rather have a life."
Note that "A Life" to most of these people means playing a different game. You know it's true.
Okay... I know you guys have heard all this stuff before... What do all these statements have in common?
What segment of the Maple population spews this nonsense more than any other?

MapleStory is a game. If you don't want to play the game then go somewhere else, you ****tards.
I love how these people sign up for Maple, download all these cheating programs, leave their pc running, have to check constantly to see if theyre being KSd or d/c'd, risk having it be for naught anyway from being banned, visit Maple message boards and argue their case there, and then claim that everyone else is wasting their time.
Are you one of those people? If so, come closer. No really, closer. Real close. Right up to my face.

I think as long as it doesn't adversely affect other parts of your life (missing important things, or skipping doing hw just to play maple), then it's absolutely fine. Think about how many hours people waste watching TV or surfing myspace or whatever. We can't be productive all the time, and it doesn't hurt to do something you enjoy for a little bit everyday, as long as you don't go overboard.

The only person wasting a hacker's time is the hacker themself.

I may play maple a fair bit, but hey. My tv is only hooked up to our game cube (which I rarely play unless I have a new game) I think that evens out my computer time in comparison to others.
Unfortunately idiots being idiots (and it's idiots who decide to cheat on something that's just for fun!) They just don't get it. Ah well... we can only hope.

Amen to that bro... I dont see the logic in it too, I mean,"have a LIFE" is often not having any friends... MS is just an additional list of friends besides IRL ^^ MS is fun, its doing fun things, is making jokes, talking, AGAIN having fun cause its pretty dam fun to play and be on it ^^
Hackers just ruin the game, right, BUT they balance the game. EVERY game has to have hackers in it, if it is online.. Still, hackers balance the game for us if it's with mesos or overall MS time. Im not a hacker, I hate hackers, I DO report and defame them but then again, who doesnt? ^^
