Hmmmmmmmmph. Well, as you can see, I'm back from camp. I kinda miss it, so I'ma write this account of the last five days to get it all off my chest.

Monday
K. I woke up quite early to get to the train station ASAP. I seriously couldn't wait. When I got on the train, around 80% of my class was there... and the welcome was hilariously overwhelming. The day was already off to a good start! Once the train reached the end of the line (some random station in the middle of nowhere), the class got on a bus to our campsite. Before we got on however, we mass-purchased kilos of candy. The shopkeeper seemed delighted enough. We got to the campsite after around an hour on the bus. Busride was a ruckus with my class. (We're pretty crazy). Once we got there, we settled into our cabins and met our trainers/guides. My trainer was kinda cute. But, you don't wanna hear too much about her. All you need to know is that she was a nice girl and I kinda miss her already... Anyhow, after we'd settled in, we headed straight to some nearby caves for around an hour of caving. Was pretty challenging, since I hate small enclosed spaces. >_< But my trainer made the tight corners seem less daunting. And then we moved onto belaying and rock climbing and bouldering and stuff. When we got back from caving we just hung out. Played some cards, chess, table tennis. Etc. etc. At around 10:30, we went to bed. Chatted for like an hour before we finally drifted off. It's really fun talking about shit - when you're half asleep - to other guys your own age. It really is.

Tuesday
Hmm. We started the day practicing some teamwork stuff. And supposedly, my class really can't work as a team. We basically keep screaming until one of us yells loud enough for everyone else to hear. o.o Oh, and after that we went onto some high-ropes course. Basically, tightropes and stuff that we walked on, around 15m above the ground. Kinda boring, but I guess people who're afraid of heights should've gotten a kick out of it. And we kinda practiced some bike riding, and went through this awesome downhill home-made bike trail. :3 Mmm, we finished the night playing some games in the dark with our torches. Things like hide and seek and whatever... ya know.

Wednesday
Yarr, woke up quite early today. We just biked all day. Up hill, down hill, flat land, lotsa mountain biking. Was fun. Supposedly, I'm a good map reader. (The other team got lost in the wild and went uphill for around 2km before turning back. Bwahahahaha). Hmm, more table tennis and cards and stuffs. Then we finished the night with team pictionary. My team won with some of the most awesome flukes ever. Like, some guy drew a ghost and the other guy in our team guessed "poltergeist" instantly. o.O And one guy had to draw "Wilson's Prom National Park" and we had a Wilson in the team... so the drawer just drew an arrow pointing to Wilson. It was kinda funny when I had to draw "Genetically Modified Organism"... I drew sounds like orgasm but the guys just kept guessing, "jizz jizz jizz jizz cum cum cum cum". And when they finally got "orgasm", they almost ran up with that answer without changing it to "organism". ._. After pictionary... we kinda went to bed again, lolz. We tended to do that at the end of every night.

Thursday
Eh, we just canoed for like three hours. Lotsa rapids, and the water was quite deep, so it was very fun. I remember we were all rafted up along this island... then like the idiots we are, we decided to grab onto this stick that was poking out of the water. Little did we know... the stick was floating down stream. There was this friggen huge rapid where we almost got owned, cause there was another canoe up ahead of us that were stuck in some rocks. And we woulda crashed into them if our trainer hadn't held my hand. Luckily, she was jabbed between some rocks too. o.o Yeah, it was quite intense. I barely got wet, and didn't capsize once. (Which is more than a lot of the other guys could say). When we got back to camp we just had a nice hangout night. There was some lollies and games and quizzes. Oh, and we had to clean up our cabins. The end was coming near...

Friday
Well, I woke up to a dreadful sound, "It's the last day." I really really didn't want to leave. By now I was quite attached to my trainer and the whole place. I mean, the campsite is beautiful. >_< Wide open spaces... Fresh air... God, how I loved it. But yeah, we had to finish cleaning the place up, and packing up our crap. And then I just sat there for an hour as the end drew nearer and nearer. It really didn't feel like the end... But deep in my heart I knew I had to leave soon and it was killing me. Spur of the moment, I tightly hugged my trainer and gave her a soft kiss on the right cheek. Said our goodbyes, and got on the bus. Waved and smiled my fake smile as my heart sunk deeper and deeper. I left freedom for this hellhole again.

And now here I am. Alone in my dark room. Back to dark old me. That was one sweet week. I was amazingly social, wasn't I? And here I am, pathetically living out my memories to the last drop. And here I am... Here I am.

wow anas, what an amazing week. You are so lucky you got to experience something like that. My kids went to "science camp" for 4 days 3 nights in middle school, but it is so completely TAME compared with that, and well, the games are supposed to teach you science stuff, so you can imagine how bad they are. The best part is playing hide and seek and capture the flag in the woods at night with flashlights (what you so cutely call "torches." But, I admit, I am happy to have you back.
