Unlike other IMs, you can send and receive messages from inside games without having to minimize (Alt+Tab) the game window. Your IMs appear right on screen: just hit Scroll Lock + X to respond. You can even take screenshots by pressing Scroll Lock + S and automatically upload them to your profile page.

Basically, you can talk to people while on MapleStory. No alt-tabbing, no need for buddy chat, just press a key and the instant message window pops up. Xfire interacts with MapleStory in a similar way to Fraps, and so there's no chance of getting banned for using it since it's perfectly legal.

I've used it to talk to a couple people who are on different servers or aren't even on MapleStory. It works very nicely. The only problem is that not many people have heard of it, and so there's not too many people to talk to. I encourage everyone who reads this to download it and if you're a friend of mine, add me.
