quick explaination of modding, for Hello XD - modding explaination

aha ok...heres a quick explaination.....
modding is NEVER cheating or hacking, it never makes the game easier because you can only play with other ppl if they have the exact same files. now, you absolutely can not modify any mmorpgs, basic rule is if the servers are not player-run, you cannot mod the game. if you play, you all have the same advantages....now that the moral crap is out of the way...
modding is actually pretty simple, in fact, youve probably already have done it. you just modify the files in the base folder of a program, therefore making it different. hate the whole starting up movie thing? then just delete it...thats modding. more complicated is building your own vehicles, buildings, levels, physice, and modes. you have to do research or have SOMEONE, i dont know WHO, help you XD. its actually pretty easy to do small tweaks, most games (like BF1942 and JKIII) can be modifyed through text files, or opening files in a text editor...you just have to try different files. now obviously, some files will have to be opened using specialized tools, like RFA Explorer for BF1942 and its RFA files and JKIII text editor for its 'text' files. obviously, you cant really open models in a text editor, therefore, there is a free modeling program, Gmax. you can find it here link . you have to search for specific plug-ins for games, with BF1942 its free and comes with the game and you can find it on EA's homepage. if you need more help, im always available on xfire...ok, almost always, i DO have a life. if anyone wants to learn, contact me...ill try to help
