They've started it up as of 12:15 AM PDT, and the beams are running exactly as they were planned to. Collisions will begin at stage A7 of the experiment, which is scheduled to occur beginning September 28.

The initial collisions will be at a low power setting (450 GeV), in comparison to the high power collisions (7 TeV) scheduled to begin in late October.
