Vusys a warning system is only half the criteria needed. I too am suspended for the minimum word filter, and quite often for reasons I don't even understand. In addition to the warning system, Moderators should have more flexibility within the forums as well. As it stands they can only:
1) Lock a thread
2) Delete a thread
3) Delete a post following with a suspension.

What is crucial is visual awareness. With the current system, everything is confidential. Moderators should be allowed to delete a post and comment why that post was deleted to the public. Even further from this, a section should be made where people can dispute warnings or infractions (maybe a privilege you can acquire after an amount of time on the site?)

Vusys, I hate to say this but you're taking this Basilmarket too seriously. The moderators of Basilmarket aren't outstanding, the popular people aren't outstanding and the humor isn't outstanding either. MrBasil isn't interested in changing this, he's interested in keeping Basil "simple".

I agree. We discussed this (A warning system) with Mrbasil about what seems like a year ago. Since then he implemented a point count into the rules as you might have seen, but never actually got to finishing the system. I wish he would already though since I do believe the forums would be cleaned up quite a bit in so doing since many people do break the rules in ignorance and would undoubtedly alter their posting habits with a few warnings to point them in the right direction, rather than by means of straight-out suspending them.

Mindstormer, my assumption was the point count was an infraction feature in addition to being suspended.

That's what it might look like, but nah, it's just the warning system that has yet to be implemented.
