So, I decided it was time to go out in the sun.
There wasn't much to do left in Megalopolis, so, I decided to visit the ruins in Caballa. I had already been to the Ruins, because most of the burgeoning monster populations I had been reducing had been in Caballa. It was time for me to continue my visit of the region. Well, the Monkey Merchant (photo 1) probably smelled a scent of a tourist, because it started hawking some of his wares at me. He also mentioned about being free from his tyrant of a gorilla. I will probably look into that soon. Anyway, back to the merchant. He eventually got me to give 500 galder worth of coupons for this trinket. The necklace needed some sprucing up, but the monkey told me to give it to the Old Artist for a retouch.
I got to the Old Artist (photo 4) the next morning. He would be glad to do so, but he first needed some ginseng tea. I had Paul the young compounder brew me a pot, and gave it to the painter. He also wanted some clean water for his brushes. He gave me a pail and pointed me to Sabrina on top of the pyramid.
The guide, Sabrina (photo 5), would be happy to give me some water... for a fee. She said, i should look for some gold and a golden egg. The golden egg was found with some digging. The gold was found in some treasure chest. I was wondering why there were all these chests strewn out all over the ruins. Little did I know these chests lured victims by the treasure located in them. However, they would turn into these objects that gladly inflicted pain to those foolish to near it unaware of the danger.
I gather all the gold I needed for payment, once I bashed on these chests, and climbed up the pyramid again. Once I gave Sabrina the egg and the gold, she grabbed the pail and scooped some water in it. Just as I was on my way down the pyramid, my mail owl gave me the postcard that I have now come to expect to mean a promotion.
