Leaving Profil3 for a while -

Actually, not just Profil3 - I won't have any contact with the outside world for at least 6 weeks. Why? As a lot of people already know, I am leaving for boot camp for the US Navy in a few hours, and chances are that I'll only get a chance to call home once a week tops, let alone have any access to a computer. I am signed to be schooled as an Intelligence Specialist, and I plan to take oppurtunities to become an officer as they are presented to me (but still specialize in Intelligence). I eventually aim to be in the FBI, so this is the first major step in getting to that goal for me (government organizations REALLY like military backgrounds, and the training in Intel ought to serve me well in the future). I chose Intel because I HATE not knowing what is going on around me, and I will have access to information that maybe nobody but an elite few will know (and no, I will not be telling you).

For those that are going to ask, yes, I was accepted at numerous colleges, and I originally planned to attend one. I sat down one day and did some serious thinking though, and decided that I wasn't quite ready for college, and that some time as an Enlisted in the Navy would do a lot of good for me. I have the utmost respect for the military and the job they do, and am proud to be on my way to becoming a sailor.

I'll read what I can of the posts here while I enjoy my last few hours at home for a long time. I'm going to miss you all
