This is the fourth and the last (for now) post of the series that covers 4th job advancement of an I/L mage. More Orihalcon and more help from your F/P friend will be needed. Pictures are included.
I said/ wrote earlier that a) monsters poisoned by Ice Demon become prone to fire and b) that you don't need F/P to make advantage of that. The reason is, you're not the one who thought about a problem of combining elements over all these years (stupid Master Death Teddies...) Alcaster has some thoughts on it too.
1. Actually, he thinks he can make a spell that will enable you to use fire power. He needs Effy Firebombs, Red Kentauri Flames and Small Flaming Feathers from Blood Hafs. (Attention: last ones drop rarely, each 10 min or so.) But if you suspect that it isn't as simple as that, you're right... and Alcaster fails.
2. Nevertheless, he has more ideas. If you can't hold fire power yourself, you can always use a summon, can't you? So you're off to Orbis tower, where Hughes and Huckle, two crazy scientists, live. Hughes can forge a Skeletal Frame for your summon out of 10 Orihalcon plates (oops), 5 Mithril and Adamantium plates and a Soul Purse (no pic, sorry). Huckle can sew a purse which will hold spirits of Master Soul Teddies, Dark Klocks and Master Death Teddies. Of course you can gather them (see ref. to MDTs above).
3. When you're finally back with souls in your pocket, you get a purse and then a Skeletal Frame (pic). You can put it to your closet and forget it, or you can talk to Alcaster again. Now you find out that you need Fire Soul Rock that will bring summon to life. Those rocks are possessed by two Thanatos, who are kept in a special room in Ludibrium Dungeon, accessible through Flo. But first you have to get a Key to that room (pic); it's dropped by Gatekeepers.
4. After you got the key and gave it to Flo, you're free to enter - but not alone. Only parties of two Archmages are allowed. It's time to call your friend again, because Thanatos are elementally charged: one is strong against I/L, the other against F/P. Note: you can make it with two I/Ls or two F/Ps; both Thanatos are kill-able. It's just easier to have both elements. Here I'd want to thank BaneArsonist, really nice F/P Archmage who helped me to get Fire Soul Rock (pic). It was easy with you
5. Finally, you travel back to Alcaster and he awards you Ifrit skill. You can start to put points to it after you put 5 points into Ice Demon. At level 1, Ifrit will target 3 monsters and crush them with 183 base attack (I'm not sure about mastery); it'll be active for 15 seconds.

Now you have them all! Skills are there, skillpoints await at the beginning of each level - as usual. If you start to hang out with big people, you may also have a chance to snatch an upgrade skillbook that'll allow you to put more points into your favourite skill.
'Um, what about Infinite mana?'
Heh. Good question. You can get a skillbook at ElNath PQ, but that's something I have yet to discover...
