How old do you have to be to play MapleStory? -

You still think games are just for kids? There's just as many adults who play video games as there is kids.

Also, this game was made for (and you have to be to sign up for) 13 year olds and older. This is the time when they either get allowance from their parents, have jobs, or are an adult so that they can pay for the cards you mentioned. There is no way a kid younger than 13 years old can earn enough allowance (unless their parents are very giving) can afford NX (at least in mass quantities without stealing a credit card). To anyone saying it's 10+ now, provide proof or shut the hell up. I can prove in several places where it's 13+ to sign up and that 10+ is just the ESRB rating. So, either prove it or shut up.

As well, a 6 year old should not even be on the computer unless it's some kind of educational math game that's not online. o_O They're barely in school at that point. So you need to check your age range.

Also, 10 years old, they've been in school what, 5 years? 5TH GRADE PEOPLE. Really? That's BARELY past learning how to write properly, if English is even their native language. Most 13+ year olds are in the 7th or 8th grade, which is a more acceptable age group.

Adults playing maplestory, well think about it, if they're mature they'll want to be around other mature players, which is usually other adults or close to that. Sure I'm 17 and I've met players that are 21+, but I'm mature enough in their eyes that until I say my age, they think I'm the older one. Want to know why? Because I present myself in a mature fashion and not all "0mG U r c00L!11 kan w3 b freinds?11". If they're older and they act immature (IE a 25 year old who types like that) then honestly they're not going to do anything bad if they're not even straight in their head. (Different straight in the head than the crazies who prey on young teens/kids) And if they're older but they associate themselves with younger folks, I'm sure they keep themselves in a mannerly fashion so that it doesn't come off as being a bad thing. (A 30 year old hitting on a 13 year old knowing they're 13.) If they do this, than it's rare, because they know they would be caught and prosecuted eventually.

And on that note, it's been proven (except for genius children or prodigies) that the human brain does not mature until during/after puberty. Usually puberty happens around 12-14 (longer time periods for males), thus finding 13 as an even median where they presumed more teenagers would be more mature.

Thus, I've just disproved everything you've said.

Search "Nexon" as the publisher. It brings up the rating. It's RATED as a 10+ everyone game, but Nexon still requires you to be 18+ or 13+ with adult consent.
