Schedules are bad. If I want to zakum, I'm just going to go and no one's going to stop me!

I'm sure we've all heard this before. Unfortuantely, schedules are usefull because they allow for organization, and free for all creates chaos. You can't have it both ways... or can you?

Here's an idea I'm proposing for channel 5.

First, each server will have a schedule that will be continuously updated as requests are submitted and handled. Any time and day may be requested for a time slot, but no time slot shall excede 90 minutes. A group leader requests a time slot and submits the name of up to 25 participants. This will allow for at least 5 uncommited spots for any player above level 85 and on the rankings to fill. If less than 25 names are submitted, any extra spots will automatically become uncommited. If the time slot is available, and none of the participants are already signed up for another time slot that has not yet passed, it will be granted.

Requests will be handled on a first come first serve basis for fairness, but as previously stated, no player may be registered for more than one future event. Players must wait until after their turn has passed to re-register.

Most likely, an online calendar application will be used to manage all this.

Lastly, selling drops that are labeled untradeable (Zakum helmet 1, skillbooks, etc.) will not be allowed. If one drops, and only one person needs it, that person should be allowed to loot it. If multiple players need a certain item, I suggest making a loot order list for it. All other drops may be allocated in any way the group decides.

Comments
Did you comment this on the threads on Basil?
I hope you did, also, you quit Maple. So why contribute much to Basil?
Just curious. And I also side with Syko on this. The only downfall is the fact that some people go longer than 90minutes. Which would piss me off.

I would agree on one free for all channel. If only for people to realize the mess it has potential to be without plenty of organization.
Bands: Depends

I don't think Basilmarket should be allowed to have a z-run channel.
I mean honestly, do you believe basil is both mature, and organized enough to go through with it without that much difficulty?
Doom out.

I don't believe Sleepywood is any more mature or organized than BasilMarket. Both sites have their fair share of idiots and intelligent, well mannered people.

You really think Sleepy is full of morons who post "U ISREL LOL" ? I rarely find genuine intelligent people on basil. That's rarely the case for sleepy.

Omar, I do not believe that you think Sleepywood is an equal to BasilMarket.
The mere thought humors me.

No, they aren't equal, but I do not believe that either is superior to the other.

I have sections full of idiots that would ruin that belief.
Omar, most of basilmarket cannot handle the maturity.
We also do not have that many people compared to sleepy that zakum.
People who would CAN ZAKUM AND ARE MATURE are not many.
We can't make this successful because most of basil is stupid, and is pulling the site down.
Sleepy may be biased, but I would take Sleepy's bias over basil's idiocy any day.

Actually, I think we have more than enough people to organize runs. Not everyone has to post on the forums you know - only the group leaders have to. I bet most of the participants in zakum runs in general don't even post on any maple story forums and just go with their guild or friends.

O come on. That doesnt even make sense. If you allow the thought that they arent equal, then you must entertain the thought that one is in fact better than the other.

If two things arent equal (in this case, we are talking about maturity and intellegence) then one must be better than the other

Ah yea, good job on BANNING anyone who doesnt believe what you think. Great job, no really. Let's not have any free thinking in LOLMarket, lets all think the exact same way....

Unfortunately, that is a fallacy. Counter example: an apple does not equal an orange, and many people do not prefer one fruit over another. Another example: two sides of a coin, they're different, but neither is actually better than the other.

And who said anything about banning people for having a differing opinion? You're the only one who brought that up. Please do not make baseless accusations; you can get yourself into serious legal trouble if you're not careful.

Without buyers, I doubt we will be fortunate if we are able to fill up at least half of the available slots.
Unless the same people can run unlimited times, which would just be ridiculous.

People can go when they have mesos to spare. No need to make obscene profits off selling zakum helmets.

Well I agree with you, but only because that has to do with preference. What the Zakum time table requires is not preference but criteria. Specific criteria that sleepywood has and basil lacks.
