Perfect Shade - Poetry

When I wake up today,
I think about why I rise out of bed.
And when I think of that question
No answer rises to my head.

You were the sun in my life
that gave me purpose each day.
And then once upon a time,
You started to fade away.

I wouldn't let you go.
I promised anything you would need.
But you just kept fading away...
Consumed by your devilish greed.

Now I sit by a pool,
of my broken hopes I dream.
And here I sit - waiting,
For your shinning light to gleam.

Written by me of course, and I plan to update some random poems I may make in this section, or maybe i'll give them each a new one, not sure yet.
