It was the cake boss. This thing is huge, does a constant 273 damage to me (which may not sound like all that much at first) and has a whopping 50 million HP. What is that, seven zeros?
Anyways, I think I spent over an hour fighting it. I was surprised, because I was fighting it by myself for about 30 minutes. No one had passed by! It was weird. Finally one person came, a cleric, and started fighting it with me. I partied him and we fought it together, both determined to take it down. We had fought for about 10-15 minutes and then some assassin girl came. She F6ed, of course, and asked how long we'd been there. Then she started fighting. We really started getting damage then.
After a while, we had finally got a group of about 6 people there fighting the giant cake. Which doesn't seem like a lot at all, considering what I see in Ludibrium is over one hundred people all fighting the cake. It took forever to kill it.
After all the hard work and wasted 400 MP potions and 180 Mana elixers, the cake died. It dropped a Maple Soul Singer, a big cream puff, a Maple claw, and something else. Someone picked everything up and I got the big cream puff. Yippee. It adds +30 attack for 3 minutes. Good... for three minutes.
My partner traded me and put the Maple Soul Singer up there, and I had assumed he was going to sell me it. But instead, he just gave me it. I was like "Cool" and took it. He had already had one and he said he didn't need another.
But I still think it was a lot of wasted time and potion/meso.
Man... if Booster were there, it would've been gone in no time.

(Booster is from Super Mario RPG for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. A lot of people don't know about this game, but it has to be one of the greatest RPGs of all time. Booster ate a cake about the size of this one in one bite.
Now that I think about it, you fought a cake in that game, too. That was a tough battle.)
