Heros Episode 2: My son. -

Crew members have been trying to wake me all night. I realized it was a dream, but the thing is... why have a dream like this? I felt everything. Even my body is cold. The rain finally stopped so I decided to go on deck, but let me warn you; what I saw when I went on those steps was terrible. "There was a party for me on the other side of the ship" said the Captains servant ( he was a free man) I ran to the other side simply glad that everything was seeming to get better. The captain took me over to the side and told me I was going to be adopted by him, and this was a party for this occasion.

He told me I would gain freedom; I could have dreams, and most of all... a name for myself. Today’s your birthday, he said in a slow voice as if I couldn't understand, and there’s your gift on the platform. I saw a new sword. It was beautiful. I looked down to it and wondered why. Captain whispered in my ear in front of the crowd of sailors and said let down the curtain. Mother and Father were being held... they were to be hung. The captain chuckled while the sailors cheered. There is a tradition in my family on the sons 15th birthday he is to kill something of value to him, so he could be strong. He handed me the sword ,and grinned the most devilish grin. I’ve never said anything against the captain before but this would be 1st. I looked to him, and I noticed this feeling in my stomach... that was just right. I unsheathed the blade and looked at it. He told me it was made from the same mineral my family mined, diamonds. It showed my face. My hair was shining, not like some superhero, but from the reflection.

The crowd yelled “KILLS THEM, finish the now, LET THEM SUFFER" I held my head down and cringed. No. I swung the sword in a total 360 degrees. Cutting the ropes and the captain.
