Heros Episode 1: What we want to Be. -

Of coarse I was warned. Then again of coarse I didn't listen. At birth I lost my name. I was born on a slave ship, and my parents we lost. At least I thought so. This is my story. This is My Legacy.

I was born on this ship. The captain liked me. I heard him call the others names which I haven’t learned the meaning to yet.
He called me "his little servant". This is because I was his personal slave. I learned his language, my language, and I learned to use weapons. The 1st mate said I was a threat to this expedition. In my mind I was. The mates on the ship hated me to hell. They were jealous of me, but who wouldn't be? I was a slave on their ship and I was what they called "rebellious". Pish I wasn't "rebellious" I simply didn't care about what they wanted me to do.

It was until one night I went to check on my mom. I only get to do it once a week. The captain doesn't want me to "mix" with them. I guess he was scared of a rebellion, a mutiny of sorts. I saw her and she smiled. I saw look on her face...that look on her face was like one I’ve never seen before. It was cold, lonely, and dark. She told me with a tear "Your fathers dead".
No. I couldn't believe it. I wasn't GOING to believe it. Mother how did he die? Was it sickness? Your father has never had an illness in his life. So what could it have been, I asked frightened. He went to the deck. He tried to fight for you. He missed his son.

As soon as that last word left her mouth the door was broken down. A tall man, that I’ve never seen before entered the room. With the cliché lightning bolt and the sky darkening I saw his face. It looked like my mothers eyes. Cold, dark, and lonely.
"Who are you?” I asked with a tear down my face. He walked past me, look into my eyes, and I got cold.
That face...that face was not human. He laid his hand on my mother and said "Enter soul, with body cold, lonely life, you die tonight."
