Okay! So far the hottest topic I've seen lately on basil seems to be the nerfing of certain monsters in Showa. Many people claim that the reason is the ESBR rating for MapleStory which is E10+. Sounds pretty reasonable. Obviously certain concerned parents would see human monsters gunning/cutting down their children's characters as a VERY NO. Quite understandable but honestly is removing the gun/sword animation and weapons from the monsters and maps going to kill you? I think it'll lessen the lag for me a bit (YES!).
Some people have suggested that it's it's all the little kiddies fault. I disagree let's take a look at the situation.
Lowering the age requirement allows Nexon's targeted market audience to be larger. A larger market means more people. More people means more money being spent. I am not saying that Nexon is a money hungry company, since NX is not mandatory. Nexon requires any possible way to make a profit which may include suckering players to shell out a lot of cash on 2x EXP. If no one bought NX in GMS, GMS would shut down eventually (like Survival Project Malaysia). Nexon still requires money to keep the game running, play their employees, advertise, pay fees, etc and still make a profit.
You might as well increase the price of cash items in order to make up for the loss of people between to ages of 10-13 if you wanted to increase the age requirement. Even if you find those NX kiddies annoying, those kids bugging their parents for cash cards helps keep the game free for hobos like me.

I would agree with you, I mean it doesn't really effect gameplay, except for one small thing:
They removed the tank.
This was a sniping spot for those who couldn't take tank damage, and now its gone, making the map only usable for warriors, and mages

I wish they put shelves there or something. If they really wanted to make the game all nice happy and fluffy for the 10 year olds, put pillows there instead of a tank.

Meh. They missed censoring Leader B's buttlets. You can clearly see him using them when he sticks out his paw. Extra B or C.. I forgot.. whichever one that uses the boxing gloves, fails at censoring his baseball bat. You might want to take a close look =|
