Ingredients 1-1/4 cups sugar 2/3 cup water 1/2 cup dark chocolate in small pieces 1/2 cup milk chocolate in small pieces(the chocolates can be substituted with 1 cup of bittersweet chocolate chips) 5 tbsp butter 2-1/2 tbsp double (heavy) cream 5 tbsp rum, brandy, or Grand Marnier (I suggest using less than 3 tbsp unless you want that brandy taste. 2 tbsp is enough to complement the chocolate) Directions 1. Heat sugar and water over low heat, stirring constantly until sugar has dissolved. Leave to cool. 2. Melt the chocolate with the butter and cream in the top of a double boiler. Stir occasionally. 3. Remove melted chocolate from heat. Gradually stir in sweetened water and mix well. 4. Stir in rum, brandy or Grand Marnier. Note: I did not make this recipe completely right, but mine was a little on the sweet side and thin, probably because we didn't have cream so I substituted whipped cream from the can >.> Have fun! | |

I'm in the dipped strawberry and other fruit business. All we do is melt nestle chocolate chips and dip the strawberries/fruits in. Your recipe sounds like more work, but more rewarding though
