What do you do -

When after becoming much too elated. You stand before a nostalgic cliff. A cliff you've wanted to dive off of, never to return. One that overlooks an eternal sunset. One that holds such beauty, yet, you see the cliff. It hangs there and you wait. What if all your urges tell you to jump. You want to jump, you need to jump. Your mind makes the connections. A cliff you've been to many times in the past, a cliff you swore you'd never look at again. You told yourself it was fine, that there was no turning back just because of something stupid, just because of one thing. Yet, here I am, I look down. I look up, I see that sunset. Something unidentified, something strong and hard grips my heart. I look back down, I feel the grip ease. I look at the darkness below, for it is so steep I cannot see into the depth. The cliff beckons me to jump, the cliff tells me it's for my own good. I listen quietly, absorbing the words. I take a step forward....Once again I hesitate. My mind wavers, my heart flutters, I pause. What do I do? What would you do? :/
