my little shpeel on long distance relationships: they suck. even when you get to see them at least once a week or so, it really is quite a disconnected affair. for one thing, you don't get to see them everyday, nor do you make any physical contact with them. when you're in a long distance relationship, you can only really enjoy your partner through 1 sense, maybe 2 at most. your perception of your significant other is limited. it doesn't matter how good of an imagination you have. when they're not with you, the relationship is an entirely different thing. but i think that being in a relationship requires a strong foundation of trust & openess. as long as you trust them with your love, they should be able to return the gesture. being utterly honest with everything also makes it easy to avoid conflicts concerning trust. so guys, trust your gals. & gals, trust your guys. what really makes me wonder is when they're out of sight, are they out of your mind?

i couldn't help but rethink the whole "out of sight, out of mind" concept. so again, i'll ask: does out of sight necessarily mean out of mind? not at all. you & your significant other, or perhaps even just a friend or relative, may have separate lives. but distance cannot break the mental, emotional, or spiritual bonds that link us all together. i guess there really isn't any such thing as final distance. just distance. with distractions. c'est la vie, je suppose.
