Animations due 4/10/08

Intro

Hey all! I know you are mostly using paint, paint.net and photoshop to make your comics. Now I have a new trick for you, game maker. This simple game design program allows you to make games, along with edit sprites with all of paint's functions
and then some. One of the most notable features is animations. I never used normal paint or any more recent versions so I
don't know if they have this.

So you downloaded it and are now staring at the menu, with your brain cells dying of starvation.

Okay, by this point I'm guessing you downloaded the program. Once you got it started, you got a bunch of folders on the left. They say: Sprites, Sounds, Backgrounds, Timelines, Fonts, Objects, Rooms, Scripts and Fonts.
We will focus on Sprites, game maker's way of saying images. This is where you edit your images. Click the red pacman icon on the top to add a new sprite. Click load sprite to load a sprite from your files. If you don't want a image from your files, just proceed to edit sprite.

I think Adobe is better, but that is for more experienced workers of the craft. This is good for people who are just starting out and want to see how hard it is to create some of the stuff.

lol im thinking about making an epic movie. like... EPIC MOVIE!

You know the song Crashed by Daughtry? Crashed + MapleStory in a movie.

But like, have so many frames that it LOOKS real. I think i could get a program to do this OR just draw it myself. Maple is so easy to edit the pixels in. It'd be Giles singing the song as well as clips and stuff... but try to make it as real as possible so yeah. Just throwin that out there

I've tried this before, and I feel that this isn't as good as MS Paint. The only good thing is how it can be added to the games you make and that it has transparency.
