(Might have some spoilers story wise, iono)
I've decided to play this game again, along with wolf whos going through for the first time...and so far im seeing some awesome stuff
first i decided to kill the king of ravens Naesala in chapter 19. it was a tough battle, and when he had 17 hp left, all Stefan had to do was hit him...instead of hitting him he used his skill "Astra" to hit him 5 times at half damage each hit, thus killing him.
second, in chapter 25 i had Haar fight the boss, Haar had a 70% chance to hit, was going to attack 4 times, and if all 4 hit hed kill the boss. after the first hit, he canceled the bosses attack with his skill then went on and killed him with the next 3 hits 
third isnt a battle...but a chars stats most of the time my swordmaster Zihark doesnt have the best of stats...but now his stats are just awesome

and 13 res
Zihark has now maxed out str skill speed and def, along with the skill Resolve at half hp he'll have 36 str 43 skill and 45 speed...hes a freaking demon
his stat growths for everything except speed skill and hp are under 50% (which basically means when he levels, his stats have a certain % at which they'll increase)
i gots a new battle too
(MAJOR story spoilers here)
Ike vs The Black Knight
1st round: Black Knight luna's Ike for 34 hp, ike attacks back for 9
2nd round: Black Knight attacks Ike and missed, Ike Attacks back for 9
3rd Round: Ike Attacks and does 9 damage, Black Knight attacks back for 19
4th round: Black Knight Luna's Ike for 34 hp, Ike attacks with Aether for 36? i forget
Final Round Ike Aethers Black Knight for the kill (wouldve won even with a normal hit)
i thought ike was gonna lose after the second luna 
so far...this has been one epic adventure

Ha. I used to play a loooot of Fire Emblem. Haven't touched it in a while though. I found that if you're lucky, you can have Ike solo an entire mission near the end of the game, which ... seems slightly out of reasonable balance.
I don't know, maybe I'm biased, but I loooove Fire Emblem, so Path of Radiance was an awesome experience for me. I did feel that they went a bit overkill on the graphics and 3D animation ... All of the fighting looked the same!! (The other games had the same problem, and I even end up turning the battle animations off sometimes) But besides that, the storyline and gameplay had me hooked.
I also had the problem where if one of my characters fell in battle, I'd totally restart the entire chapter Dx. Keeping your characters alive is a tough challenge sometimes!
As far as memorable battles go... I've got none. It's been a while :/ And a favorite character... Far too many  ... Ike was great. Overpowered but I couldn't get around using him. Besides him... Volke - What can I say? I love using thief characters Dx Ilyana - I love trying to make weaker characters playable :X

ive had to restart a few times because Stefan/Soren kept dieing
Ike can solo the last few chapters, probably the entire game if your lucky... as of now my Zihark, Marcia, Nephenee could do really well alone
my fav chars now are Stefan Haar and Zihark, Stefan for killing the king of ravens how he did, Haar for just killing bosses even though i didnt think he could in 1 round, and Zihark for his awesome stats
