People are so easy to scam. - Maplestory, Scam

Yeah, it's sad

Everyday 1000's of people get scammed, on an online game called MapleStory.
Well not just Maple, it happens everywhere but lets use Maple as our example

Why am I posting this?
I'm just ranting and besides, maybe some people will learn from it.

Lets see, most common scams these days...
These 4 scams are an obvious abuse of trust and happen a lot

- Fake Z-helm selling.

1. You give them your account info to survive zakum and get you a helm, but instead they'll transfer all your stuff to other accounts

2. You pay, they run and you end up with less mesos and no z-helm.

- NX Selling. (Damn, why do people fall for this?)

- Account scamming. (so called friends stealing your stuff or account trading)

- Item/mesos scamming. (This one sucks

, Simple deal : You trust someone, you give him/her your items/mesos to transfer and suddenly your 'friend' is gone. Bye items/mesos

This scam is most likely to happen out of money need or also called...GREED

The famous 'to good to be true deals'.
You know what I mean, don't you?
Alright, lets take an example...Ilbis are 10 mil and you see someone in FM 'B>Ilbis 33 mil each!'
This is just a case of using common sense, why would anyone buy it for more then 3 times it price?
You'll most likely end up selling the ilbi for 3.33 mil.

I do feel sad for the people that get scammed, but please...use common sense and don't trust people easily.

How can I 'prevent' being scammed?

- Never ever ever ever give out your account info, not even to your closest friends.

- If you're buying a zhelm, make damn sure the guild selling it is trustworthy.

- Friends, don't trust them to much...there are scammers among them, well not always.
As for transferring through friends, you can always do it through Duey and wait 12 hours instead. (Different accounts)
But if you do decide to let friends help you, pick the one you trust the most and if you're not completely sure transfer it by small bits.

- If you're trading someone always double check if everything's alright, the price, items...ALWAYS!

Well, that's about it...I hope I didn't waste my time.
