"Naruto! Wait up for me!" I yelled trying to Naruto to slow down. Training was over and I promised Naruto we could go get some ramen and once he heard that, he was off like a bullet. Finally we got to that ramen bar. "Two beef ramen, please!" I chimed out. Naruto and I had been best friends since the academy days.
*FLASHBACK*
"*sigh* It's so boring here." I whined as I looked for something to do. I seen a blond haired boy sitting on a swing. I didn't really care about the boy... I just wanted to sit on the swing. I walked up as quiet as I could. As soon as I was close enough I yelled "BOO!" making the blond boy jump and fall right of of the swing, making me laugh. The boy got up and glared at me. "What was that for?" He growled. This was my first time seeing his face. He had weird whisker lines in his face and the cutest, biggest blue eyes I've ever seen. I blushed a little and hoped he hadn't seen it. "Well?" he asked, breaking me out of my trance. I gave him a huge smile and giggled. "I got you good, didn't I?" The boy at first still looked mad, but then he smiled and started to laugh too. We had been best friends ever since.
*END FLASHBACK*
Naruto looked at me curiously. I hadn't touched my ramen yet. He put his hand in front of my face and waved it. "Hellllooooo? Earth to Akane. You still alive?" "Hmm?" I looked at his blue eyes. "Jeez you've been spacing out a lot." Naruto said, slightly annoyed. "Sorry..." I said quietly. All of a sudden I felt something warm on my head. I looked up to see Naruto's hand on my forehead. I blushed a little. "Wh-what are you doing?" Naruto looked at me and chuckled. "You don't seem to be warm..." I hit him playfully on the head. When we finished our ramen Naruto walked me home. I just sighed out of the blue. Naruto and I have always been friends...but I wanted to be more than that. He'd never realized it and I'm to scared to tell him. "You've been acting really strange lately, Akane." Naruto said as he put his hands behind his head. I bit my lip and stopped walking. Naruto turned around to face me. I looked up at him with sadness in my eyes. Tears were swelling up in them. "Whats wrong?" Naruto asked really worried. When I didn't say anything he walked up to me and hugged me really tight. "Please, tell me what wrong." He said, his usually strong and happy voice sounded weak and sad. I pulled away from his embrace and whispered, "Naruto, have you ever wanted to tell someone your true feelings, but just couldn't? Naruto stared at me for a second then gave a sad smile, "Yeah..." "Who?" He didn't answer. Instead he lifted my chin up with one finger and kissed me lightly, but passionately on the lips. My eyes widened. "I love you, Akane." Tears of joy flowed down my cheeks. "I love you too, Naruto." I said as I pulled him into another kiss.
